uh now i feeling like a noob where do you coonect it because i dont think i have the 3 pin connector on my mobo or my VGA card, can i connect to a different pins and thanks for trying to help me.

Your motherboard will have 3pin connection. My video card PCB has 2pin connection

3 pin wire has two pins that are hot and common, and the third is for speed monitoring. Just go to radio shack and get a adapter. It is a 3 pin to 4 pin molex, and plug it in to your 12v rails and there you go. Here is a link so you can see what it is you need.

I have never been there so I do not know. But I would SERIOUSLY not recommend having any exposed type of connection. Voltage spikes are never a good thing on something that is voltage/amperage critical like a motherboard.
