Well I am looking for a decent pair of headphones to purchase for music/gaming. The gaming aspect is not nearly as important as the music. My budget is around $100, but cheaper is always better. I currently have a pair of Sennheiser HD428's, and I find them pretty respectable. However, they can be a bit muddied at times and they fall off my head easily. I have done a light amount of research and have found the Shure SRH440's ($95 on Amazon) to have favorable reviews, as well as the ever-popular Sennheiser HD PRO 280 ($75 on Amazon). What are your thoughts on these? The brand will not make-or-break the deal, but I really do enjoy Sennheiser. I know there are a lot of suggestions for the AD-700's, but I quite simply do not like the way they look and would prefer not to get them.
I think a great pair of headphones to show you what I am looking for would be the Klipsch Image One's. I tried them at Best Buy and I loved the sound they produced. However, they were extremely uncomfortable so I cannot wear them.
Here is what I am looking for:
-Sound Clarity
-Comfortable for long sessions of music/gaming
-Non-coiled cord preferred (even though the two headphones I mentioned above are coiled, but the Shure is detachable)
-Over-the-ear design
Here is what I do not want:
-Too much bass (rich bass is nice, but not over-powering like Dre Beats)
-Flashy designs
-Used (I want to buy new)
-Earbud/on-ear design
I can possibly stretch the budget if need-be, but I would really like to keep it under $100
