Hi guys,
So some of you may remember I won this chip in one of OCN's great benchin compos a number of months ago?
Well last week I finally got round to having a bit of a play with it, not only that though this was my first proper play with a x58 setup and my very first time using LN2
Been my first time with LN2 (and indeed this setup) I made a number of mistakes, some of which were really stupid such as not spending any time learning the setup before hand (although I did test it was all working under water cooling months ago when I first bought the other bits needed (tripple channel ram ect)and managed a little bit of overclock at that time) and not setting up clean o.s.for best results possible, but its all good as for me it was all part of the learning experience.
Anyhow, I figured it is only fare that I share my fun with you all as it wouldnt of been possible if I didnt win the chip here

For anyone interested in looking.
The best overclock I managed on the day was just over 5Ghz though Im sure there is more in the chip and this setup if more time was spent with it.

Most of the scores I manged for hwbot were pretty dismal due to dirty o.s. and rushing about rather than spending time tweaking for each bench but I did managed the odd 2nd place within the w3530 catogory, namely wprime1024 and HpiFast:
The one gold I managed was with UC Bench 2011, which wasnt too hard seems there was only one other entry in it

and I gota say massive respect to NoGuru as he is holding most the golds here in the catogory, but it wont be for much longer bud
