dont allow overclock

Thread Starter
i was used e7500 with overclock(400mhz*9.5=3.8 [no o.c. on ram's]) since long time.
one day system can not started with 3.8ghz and restarted with default settings.
now i can not overclock fsb.
system reseting on first black screen while memory testing.
freezing screen:
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/221/dsc00684m.jpg/

i tried for memories;
single memory (i have 2 rams)
exchange slots
raising voltage
change timings to high(6-6-6-18)

tried for cpu:
raising vcore to 1.45v(max. v for this cpu o.c.)
downing little o.c. for example 300mhz, 3.5ghz...
rasing fsb,(g)mch voltages
disabled eist,c1e,cia2

tried for mobo:
ejected bios battery for return default settings
"updated" bios version to f11 from f13

waiting for solutions...

Maybe your memory is crapping the bed?

Did you run MemTest 86 or something similar?

Will the system not boot at all with default BIOS option, or is the system only rebooting at that screen during overclocks?

Depending on how long and how high you have been running your voltages you might have damaged your processor.
I had an E8400 I ran at high voltage for a long period and introduced all kinds of anomalies while overclocking to levels that were previously stable for long periods.

hi again,
the system is only rebooting at that screen during overclocks.

but yesterday night did something interesting
at default settings, system shutdown while i am on desktop
then system strained to restarting but cant worked it again and again: not succesfull.
i ejected one ram its works tried another ram its works.(i have 2 rams a-data 2gb 800 c6, gskill 1gb 800 c5)

today i tried my old cpu; its pentium 4 506, its default speed 133*20=2.6ghz
i worked it and tested short time 200*20=4ghz its ok!
4ghz worked with 1gb 800 c5 its ok!
4ghz worked with 2gb 800 c6 its ok!
4ghz worked with 2gb 800 on c5 its ok!
and 4ghz worked with 3gb 800 c5-5-5-15 its ok!

so whats i mean; c2duo e7500 is problematic
maybe problem is at mobo..
p4 506 worked but it cant be forced mobo you know it is 1 core and old cpu.

whats your ideas?

now im on e7500,3gb 800 c6(so default settings) again i testing them on orthos(blend stress cpu and ram) its ok since 2hours.
if u want i can share my e7500 skin photo i shooted it when i ejected it.

If your old pentium processor overclocks fine with all of your memory but inserting this new processor (c2duo e7500) introduces issues I would think the new processor is damaged somehow (whether by high voltages/temperatures or otherwise).
Make sure to check that your processor is not overheating. Check the motherboard for any swollen or bulging capacitors, if none of those are present I would clear your motherboard of any physical wrongdoing.
If you have updated your BIOS recently I recommend down-revving it to the previous version and re-checking stability with the problematic CPU. Conversely, if there is a new BIOS update you haven't tried yet go ahead and install that and do the same test.

in this forum i asked max voltage for e7500, someone said 1.45v(my vid 1.2625)
i did not pass 1.45v.
my temps at iddle 30's at full load 50's.
gigabyte used full solid capasitors at this mobo and checked cant see an anormal thing(uploaded pictures)
yeah its f13(last) bios version.i down-revvinged f11 but not cahnged any thing for overclock.
e7500 :
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/716/dsc00693xb.jpg/
mobo capasitors:
http://imageshack.us/g/249/dsc00697x.jpg/

also it dont allow even little o.c (for ex. 266>300mhz)
so it say me "cant change fsb manuelly for e7500 oyu will use it auto" smile.gif

That is an odd situation indeed.
You could try buying a new core2 e7500 to test with (this is the only surefire way to rule out processor in this case). it sounds like the rest of your components are sound and in good working order from the data you have presented.
1.45v is usable and necessary for some overclocks, however it is well out of intel spec for transient spikes. (See: VID voltage range). Depending on how long of a while you ran the processor at or in the neighborhood of that point (especially if you ran it 24/7) you are probably seeing some silicon migration that is creating anomalous processor conditions.
