Except.. many times they're dead on accurate. Remember BD? Remember how every site known to man was saying "it's not living up to expectations.." (that's putting it nicely) ? Well, they were right. And that's what the Rumors and Unconfirmed articles section is for, after all.

what do you mean? It's not like nvidia has a comparable 28nm gpu out in the next 4-6 months to come

they seemed faked I mean its a bit strange how the 580 score "1" in all the games I mean .... what the 580 gets the same FPS in every game whereas the 7970 gets various scores?

maybe for the 580 the tests had Vsync on? but tbh it looks like its propaganda rubbish and I won't believe "leaked" information till I see some true evidence and a review by a trustworthy source when they have the product themselves :\

EXACTLY my viewpoint. None of these 7970 reports are including performance in probably the most or one of the most important titles they will be used for upon launch... Someone needs to confront the elephant in the room - lets see some bf3 benchmarks!

lol its because they are showing the gain of the 7970 over the 580. They simply make whatever the 580 scored = 1 and then the relative 7970 score is beside, which is say for example, 1.3 which means that it is 130% as powerful as the 580, which means it would be a 30% gain over the 580.

Obviously biased benches are obvious. Introduce a VRAM bottleneck to the Nvidia card by running at massive resolutions and then claim that the gains are due to the architecture. Fail AMD.

Still, these will be nice cards but don't put much stock in these bogus benches, wait for the unbiased ones that will come out from other sources....

This is just what I was going to post.
At 1600p and high AA the RAM bottleneck will limit the GTX 580 before the 7970.

Isn't there a 3GB 580? I'm not saying these are real of course, but for all you know they could be using the 3gb model. poke.gif

lol, this graph could very well be true...when comparing the 7970 to a 1.5gb 580 at massive resolutions. lol, the 7970 was probably overclocked too while they left the 580 at stock speeds. i love these kinds of graphs. thumb.gif
