Hey guys,
Im new to posting here but have been hovering about for several months. I recently built my new gaming rig in anticipation for BF3 and SWTOR. Yesterday I went out and replaced my Samsung T260 Syncmaster monitor with an Asus VE278Q.
Upon turning it on, the image is rather "blurry". Resolution is maxed at 1920 x 1080, however I cannot get the same sharpness that was on my T260. Currently it is plugged in with HDMI, however I have switched between HDMI and DVI without any difference. I updated the Catalyst drivers on my Radeon 6950 just in case. Similar threads suggested decreasing the overscan to 0%. Ive been playing with every possible combination of Brightness, contrast, sharpness, etc with no luck.
Also I tested the image quality when running Blu Rays on PowerDVD 9, and its night and day. On the T260 one can tell that its clearly blu ray. You can see every small piece of face paint coming off Keith Ledger's face. The same blu ray on the VE278Q is more like a downloaded DVDrip, You can clearly see the color gradients when going from dark to light scenes.
Any suggestions and advice from you gurus is appreciated and I thank you in advance for your kind support!
Happy Holidays!
