Do any of you have any idea why it's been 3 months since the last WHQL, 285.62, has been written?
It appears that Nvidia has just plain lost their touch to write proper drivers, since even all their Beta's seem like so much crap for the vast majority of Nvidiots like me.
It seems to me that games should be written around the latest WHQL drivers, instead of them relying on Nvidia and AMD to write drivers to work with such a large, diverse number of games. It just doesn't seem fair. I don't think either Nvidia or AMD should find it necessary to do the work that should be done by the game developers before they even release their ever buggy new titles.
Also, why does FutureMark still refuse to recognize the latest WHQL driver with all of their benchmarking programs? How much damned time does FM need to approve a driver? They've had 3 months.
Has there ever been a WHQL like 285.62 that has actually lasted this long with no successor in sight?
