Tomorrow, I'm going to be replacing my Mobo and Proc with those beautiful items smile.gif Did you post your bios settings, I want to try them out on my new rig!!

Its been my goal to hit 5.0GHz!!!

BTW, I will actually have G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series 32GB (8 x 4GB) DDR3 2133, will that make a difference in the volts or other settings?

I'm curious to know how many watts that cpu is pulling. Your radiator must feel like a hairdryer no?

No offence but 3 hours of Battlefield, some benchmarks and 16 minutes of AIDA64 is not considered 24/7 stable. Nothing wrong with your overclock but it's not really correct to label it as "stable 24/7".

920 and 950 have 4C/8T too. The 2600k is newer so it seems kinda logical that is performs better.

I was curious how the OP's CPU is doing, if its still humming along at 5.0Ghz, which required 1.51v (according to the CPU-Z screenshot).
So, is it dead? Is it still "24/7" stable , now 5 months later?
1.51volts is crazy, give couple more months = dead CPU. I wonder why you need that much voltage ?

Those games can take advantage of 6 cores, fine, that doesn't mean a 950 cannot keep up. My 930 @3 GHz is FAR from being maxed out by BF3 and Skyrim (heavily modded) on 1080p.

Its like you guys are always seeking for reasons to upgrade...
