Hi guys, afther some research i decided to swich from my amd top system for the conroe, mainly because the fx62 cant handle the work i do ,and that am2 sokets give alot of headche at ocing.
Also im not very pleased with nvidia(my first nvidia ever lol) collor quality,as i allways had ati cards ..i will swich back to ati

Here is my built

CPU: E6700 conroe (new)
Mobo: AW9D-Max (buyed asus pb5 deluxe, i dont find it exciting, and died in few hours of use)
Ram: 4 gig pc6400 ddr2 corsair xms (800)(cl5) (i have those from the amd system)
Psu : Thermaltake Toughpower 550w ,belive it, this little pice have a damn lots offf amp (also from the old built)
Graphics: Ati x1950xtx
Case..i have my lovely thermaltake Aquila, is small and the airflow is great
cpu cooler: arctic freezer 7.. who cares about 2 or 3 c more or less?
ddh: i have 2x250 seagate at 16mb each, 3gig aswell (identical)

well.. only problem is that my psu is not atx2.2 but the mobo supports atx2.0 aswell

The X1950XTX is a great card, but expensive. I'd settle for an X1900XT for around $300 to carry you over to DX10. Use the savings for a better PSU. Thermaltake is not well known for good PSUs, and those ATI cards are power hungry.

Why 3GB of RAM? No dual channel ... since based on what you have in your old rig, they're 1GB sticks. Go for 2GB (my recommendation) or 4GB (if yuo really want to).

Are you going to sell , the fx-62?
The Nvidia cards are known for giving more performance, the ati ones give brighter and more vivid colors, you should choose one , acording to what you need.
Whats the kinda work that an fx-62 doesn't handle?if I may ask...

Which nVidia card gives more performance than the X1950XTX (except the Dual GPU 7950 GX2).

And I dare say that an X1900XTX is at least on par with a 7900GTX.

It'll do both... and you don't need ATI if you're going for a single card, only when two. Any dual PCI-E slot will do SLI with modded drivers.

Again, I would not spend too much on the Video card, even if yuo have the money. DX10 is not that far away, and you'd have to upgrade again.

Before you start to whine about your overclocking with the FX-62, then it's caused by the 4 Gigs of RAM inserted.
This was a problem with S939 which I thought they solved with AM2, but apperantly not.
Also, for your next build, the 7900GTX is enough to tide you over to DX10, so stick to that or if you really need something else - get another one and run SLi with it.
And TT is not known for making good or stable PSUs either. The amps doesn't tell anything, your voltages should be accurate and not flucturating alot.

A last thing about overclocking your current FX-62 rig is that Fatal1ty mobo's aren't known for overclocking good, you only pay for his name!

It's very 50/50, but the 7900GTX will give more Fps.
And GX2 is GX2, that's the gpu to have.....

yes i gona sell my fx62, i can get good money for it on ebay..will buy now at 400£ very fast for sure

yes the collor..thats why i want to change, problem is that recording in games (fraps) gives a less nicer picture quality than an ati

as far as performance on cards, is proven that if you remove the bottleneck on the cpu the ati will go past nvidia
http://www.driverheaven.net/reviews/X1950XTXreview/

as for cpu handle? it hangs now and then when running multiple tasks like ,i never had that problem on my old pentium.. and the memory compability is bad, am2 is notorius for it, and also i dislike useing low timeing , oposite to intel which likes bandwith
