post #1 of 9

I am nearly our of RAM as compare to system requirements of my new version of designing software, which requires minimum 2GB of DDR3 RAM & working environment of 64-BIT version of WINDOWS 7.

My problem is i already have CORSAIR VS2G1333D3 G RAM & want compatible RAM with amount of 4GB DDR3 1333MHz. Please suggest me a good RAM. would be better if from corsair. (My board supports 16GB DDR3 including 2 DUAL-CHANNEL SLOT.) smile.gif

Screen-shot attach for your reference.

I would suggest getting an 8GB kit as they are quite cheap at the moment;

Could you post the rest of your specs as well please?

I'd consider tossing that "UMAX" PSU out in the trash where it belongs before I went any further.

Any DVD burner will do. They're almost a commodity. As for RAM, any cheap 1333 or 1600mhz 8gb kit will do. There's no point in spending extra for tighter timings, etc. They provide no benefit in real world use.

Did you check out the link I posted? Are you based in the USA or elsewhere? If you're outside the USA I will find you a link to the same RAM in your country thumb.gif

II strongly suggest NOT buying any sort of mismatched ram… you'll run into problems, believe me. It's just so hard to find ram that isn't the exact same model that is still compatible with it. And since we can't find the same model anywhere…. go with an entirely new kit. The recommendations given are good, really, RAM performance is one of the least important parts of a computer, imo.

If I were in your shoes, I'd choose an 8GB 1600Mhz kit, or if I wanted to spend less, an 8GB 1333Mhz kit

Thanks to all who give me reply.

Finally i got my 4GB Corsair value RAM matched with my older 2GB Corsair value RAM. (Both are 1333MHz, 9-9-9-24 latency, 1.05V) biggrin.gifapplaud.gifthumb.gif

@pursuinginsanity: Believe me, in my country, UMAX works Quite well with average ambient temps., about 36-49 °C.
BTW; corsair, i-Ball PSUs are more than a premium headscratch.gif + they don't get the models with 8pin ESP12 volt power supply jack for my mainboard.

Thanks all of you guys. What would i do without your support??!!!
