[Pre-Sale] Planning to Purchase an M8 Next Year

Thread Starter
Pre-Sale Questions:

1. how dark is the gray window panel? is it similar to a smoked acrylic? can i still kind of see inside if i had lights?

if i got the gray XL window, i would probably be going for a microwave look - when the door is closed, and the computer running, i can kind of see the interior and components, but not have much light bleeding through to illuminate a room's walls.

Here is my projected order for next year, for my next 2011 build:

m8Order.jpg

I am not sure if i am missing anything else - with all the options and pictures and other users' builds, it is difficult to image what i am ordering the more i look at it. if all of the fan holes are for 120mm, then i think i should be okay. as i get closer to clicking the submit button in the future, i might start asking more questions. i hope to subscribe to my own thread here, and ask questions that i have here, instead of starting new threads.

The cases look great, especially since i don't have anything that cool looking, besides maybe my test bench.

I do not know how many bay devices i will have - i do have 1 (one) single BluRay drive (5.25"), and also plan to have maybe an Operating System SSD, and maybe 3-4 HDDs for additional storage and games.

12/22/2011 :: Just placed an order for a case, was $450 total. I hope i like this case enough to want to build with it - i hate it when i buy parts and never end up using them. Hopefully the build goes smoothly, as well.

I have the grey window, it's not in the door though as the case is getting painted so I can't show you photos. However it looks similar to the window I modded into my Antec. During the day the Antec doesn't have light bleed outside of the case, at night it won't unless you turn the lights off wink.gif I guess similar to a microwave ish.

Here are some photos if it helps

Personally I like a lot of lights so that the lighting is even, however I don't like to be blinded, so that's why I went with the smoked window. Hopefully it won't make the white seem too dark though smile.gif

>> poop just realized you bought the case a month ago, I should learn to read. Hope you like it smile.gif
