been playing with the new win 8 RC in a VM. Other than hating the Metro UI as much as ever, it seems to be pretty stable and usable. thumb.gif

Just wondering, what card are you using to connect to the LTO4 drive, and how much did the card, and the drive itself run you? Just picked up a couple stand alone LTO2 drive and a PCI SCSI 160 card to hook into my linux server. Not nearly as fun as my Dell ML6030 library at work tongue.gif

the drive was given to me by a good friend...i believe it on a adaptec 29320... i will confirm when i get home..i ran it externally on a atto 320 and it drove it full speed..

sold the dlt

changed the case to norco 470

which gives me more room for drives so ordered 2 more 3 tb reds...and 4x2 tb for backups instead of tapes..
