So because he briefly mentions a Ferrari, he suddenly has lost all credibility and is "drinking the koolaid"? There's only one thing I can say to that: LOL WUT?
I don't know what you read into that but there was no comparison to a Ferrari. He's talking about budgets, and Ferrari's are expensive. Oh and by the way, the same way you feel about a Ferrari I feel about a top notch graphics card, as do many I imagine.
What comparison is that? It's pretty straight forward: buy what you can afford and stop complaining because the latest top of the line GPU isn't in your budget anymore.
Never use Ferrari and video card in the same sentence. A video card is a engineering turd compared to the engineering mastery, hand made detailed art form that comprises a Ferrari.
Bad comparison is bad.
As far as budget, it's never wise to over pay for something. That's why some things just don't sell, because it's overpriced and no one, even those who "could afford one" wouldn't buy into.
Welcome to the real world, where smart savvy consumers don't over pay for something just because it's new.
