sighhhhhhhhhhhh, how sad..... how very very sad, that we have this sort of stubbornness on this thread. buttkick.gif

He's comparing two uber overclocked, water cooled to a single stock 7970?
How don't people understand that when you have more than 1 card, your in different territory?
How don't they understand that they then enter the bigger league of crossfire/sli ?

Wait till i do the same to my 7970's mate......... i'm going to make you cry lachen.gif
(BTW moneys not an issue for me, this is where you kinda faceplant on the concrete floor)

Including the rasa cpu kit or not? Well including everything about $1600 for my entire rig, including the monitors and wc'ing parts.

$185 for one card, $115 for another, and $156 for two blocks.

I'm not an enthusiast though Majin.

Oh? 3 pages back:

I'd consider myself an enthusiast, why don't you? Is it because my cards are beneath you?

I'm not talking about high res or three screens, why change the topic so it suits your needs better?
Dude you flipflop more than politicians lol.

I'd slowly leave this thread if I were you. You're digging yourself deeper and deeper the more you post.

LOL why do you guys think the guy with the faster cards is cooler?

Nobody really cares, nobody will cry because the other guys set up is faster. My cards belt out games, but who really gives a hoot? nobody....I just enjoy playing games when the weather is crap.

Having the faster cards will also not get you laid (which many of you probably really need)

Going by your logic, we should abolish any and all high-end cards. Period. The 580 and 7970 never existed, so now all we have are models in the $3-400 price point. rolleyes.gif Back to the real world..

i dont like your world where you pay for overpriced 7970s for $550 each. i like my real world better where i get on par gtx 580 performance with an unlocked gtx465 clocked at 915mhz for $97 shipped thinking.gif

which is only around 3-5 fps average behind a 7970 in bf3 at 1080p. headsetsmiley.png

That is 21% slower, not exactly very close. About the same amount difference as the reviews have been showing between the two cards at stock. Yours is probably a max OC, or very close(assuming, no idea on the max OC on those. Are you on air or water?), whereas the 7970 looks like it may have quite a bit more room to go. Anyway, this really means little to most as it is a synthetic. Gaming could go even better or worse, depending on the game.
