Two days ago we reported that Razer delayed their Tiamat gaming headsets to January to make some final tweaks and now we are here to tell you guys that Razer, unfortunately, had to delay their most anticipated gaming laptop, Blade. Company’s CEO Min-Liang Tan said that the delay is caused because of a last minute decision to swap the 320GB HDD for a 256GB SSD. This change will be worth waiting for. He also told that initial quantities of the gaming laptop with ship from mid to late July for North American customers.

They are giving away free goodies to those who per-ordered.

Considering it's form factor and features you get it's pretty good imo. Though it could still go for around $500 less. Knowing Razer, I doubt it's build quality. Does anyone know the OEM of this?

Someone broke into their headquarters and stole a prototype before too. lol

Honestly whoever buys this laptop is a complete moron though. haha

Looks awesome. I do wonder about quality, though.

I wonder if it still costs the same, changing from a 320gb HDD to a 256gb SSD isn't really cost effective.

it is if you cant get regular hard drives.... could be they simply are none out there for them thanks to the floods or the cost has gone up to the point that the SSD is no more expensive.

That is quite dramatic... a 256gb ssd is around 300-500 and a 320gb HDD is only $100.

The blade is fine if you want an extremely portable laptop and have the money. Honestly its a pain to drag around my laptop and there is really nope other choice besides maybe ASUS Zenbooks. personaly though i would get the switch blade when it comes out because its like a hand-held computer.
