Blocking LAN IP from the internet..

Thread Starter
Hey guys, i want to play my BF2 undisturbed so im gonna shut my sisters PC off since she refuses to close limewire, which takes up the entire ****ing up-line. So, i go into my router, i go to filters, and i select the ip filter for blocking internet acess for LAN ips. However, its not just to write in the IP, it wants a port. Should i just take like all ports from 0-56k? or is it a specific port for internet? Or should i do something else to block her off?

I would say block the TCP/UDP port of 6346 (default port for Limewire), so it would choke her connection, so stuff downloads a lot slower (Giving you more bandwith). Hopefully that will discurage her to download less or less often.

thx for the info, but the MAC adress worked fine. She sometimes also sits on like 5 webcam conversations at the same time, when only one takes up the entire connection. the mac adress block worked, and she came in here and was PISSED! thx for the help guys

But she'll still have internet access.....bandwidth hogs must be dealt with by the iron fist of MAC filtering!

Haha, damn hot girls with their magic....
Go with the port filtering, probably a better idea....
But if she uses too much bandwidth again....CRUSH HER WITH THE MAC FILTERING!!
