x64 or 32bit WinXP?!?!?

Thread Starter
I was given a copy of the 32bit and 64bit versions of Xp Pro for college
I'm in Computer Programming and will be doing alot of VB.net and C# and was also given copies of Visual Studio 64bit and 32bits.

Here's my question:
I'd prefer to go with the x64 version and I know I can get all the drivers I need so can you think of any really problems a 64bit version could bring up?

If you have all the drivers and software for x64 you shouldt have more problems then running 32bit.

I have never used the 64 bit version of Visual Studio but I do not know if it will compile programs for 32 bit OS. That might be your only issue.

If you have all the drivers and support you will get alot of extra performance from the 64bit addressing. Also you will have 32bit support for 32 bit apps aswel as 64bit apps so i would go for it.
