Sennheiser - Page 26

I dunno what i will do. Just now i finished a game of BF2 and for fun i put on my current cans and put on a mic round my neck. it was so UNCOMFORTABLE. then the mic i used i clipped onto my shirt and it wasn't really comfy. What if i get a gaming headset like a stealsound. Does anyone have any experience with those?

Check this out i believe that i will get this it looks very good watch the video

le loup. Here is my plan i'll be getting a pair of hd595's and a pair of steelsound gaming headphones with built in mic. I will see what's better on my pc. I realy wanted those hd595's to listen to my music but hey i'll check it out. Right now i'm having the funniest conversation with my friend i'm trying to convince him to get cans not buds. and he's into computers to which is the funny part. He says he looks like a goof walking down the street. And my other non techi friend says that cans don't make me feel comfy when i wear them.

What has the world come to?

I don't know...

I've been listening to a new pair of HD555's, and I must say they are quite nice...bass is low and loud, highs are clean, mids sound ok (I have to fiddle with the equalizer forever ...integrated takes some tweaking to sound alright). The only thing I can complain about is how OPEN they are. My brother, sitting 3 feet to the left of me, can hear all the mids and highs I can...the bass stays in though

Some songs I listen to (Earth - Seven Angels) have bass that I didn't know was there...I don't have any nice cans to compare the 555's to but they can output some crazy low bass...I hope you enjoy the HD595's and find some cheap postage for the Steelsound

So I noticed everyone recommending Sennhesier headphones. I notice that my mic headphones were Sennhesier.

Can anyone tell me how the Sennhesier pc150 sound? I just brought a new sound card and I wanted to know if I should be in a hurry buy new speakers/headset.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826106346

Speakers are logitech X-530.

I don't really listen to very loud music so I thought those would be enough.

Should I be rushing out to get new sound equipment? Or is what I already have fine?

Well what you have is more than fine, especially if you're not a discerning audiophile who has to have the absolute best...my friend has the X-530s and their sound is very crisp and clear, bass is nothing compared to my z5500s due to the smaller sub but I'd say that the satellites come very close to those I have.

Headphones wise I'm not familiar with Sennheiser's PC line (only the HD line which is what I have) but if you like them, that's all that really matters right?

I have the Hd500's as i've said, but I use a plantronic's headset, cost like $30 @ radioshack, and the headphones i've never used on them, but always the mic.

Here's how I use the 2 in tandum.

1. Plug sennheisers in, place on head.

2. Plug "mic" of plantronic's in, "rest" plantronics on neck (back of it, loop down as if resting headphones).

3. Bring front mic grip to front, now the mic rests 2-3 inches farther from face then normally. Thus making it "clearer" when you talk, then muffled up close. (btw the mic on my set, picks up audio from anywhere in the room...O_O).

4. Enjoy high def audio + decent mic all together .

And dunno about the difference between your 595's and the choice headset, however "if" you have the room to do what I did, then great, however of course if the net weight is a tad "big/heavy" then of course, choose your own style. It's just a way to enjoy the best of both worlds.

Also, if your "pc chair" is on wheels, ALWAYS remember, even if your only moving around a bit, you will 99% of the time, accidentally roll over the wires. And on headsets, because it's sending the mic/headphone audio @ the same time, on the same wire, it's more sensitive to damage. Just a head's up, warrenty's come in handy there.

Oh and i've tested can's out when I was younger, and believe me, they're decent for sound, unique, but decent, lol. It's the oddest things, can's, string, it just works oddly, lmao. Science is an art, can's, string, what can be better?

Um.... One question, What sound card? Your sys spec's still say onboard, so I can't give you a true opinion asap. If it's turtlesound then no, no replacement required, If it's audigy line, No replacement required yet. X-fi series, I'd consider borrowing a friends better set of speakers or headphones and "seeing" if there's a noticible difference for yourself before getting anything new (unless you have money to throw around, go all out! hehe).

Boros is it really that easy to hear the sound from a mile away. What do u mean by open i really don't understand. Will i be able to go on a city bus? And Le Loup yes i do that currently. I have my crappy pannasonic cans and a horendis logitech headset. I wear my cans and put headset round my neck and use the mic. When i went to circutecity i found the cheapest headset i can possibly find. They where so uncomfortable and they sounded awful, so that is what i do now. lol.

I hear such good things about the hd series and now that after like 2 months of debating and great reviews i actualy order them and now i hear the bad reviews coming out of the wood work. ***!! not cool

now to go watch someDL.TV to ease my mind

So should i cancel my order of the steel series or what? While i still can I'm so confused. Or since it's only like $35 i should keep it.

Open means that there are holes in the back of the cups that allow the driver in the headphones to be exposed. This means that ambient noise around you can get in and the sounds your listening to can get out. You don't get any isolation with open headphones since they don't block outside noise from getting in.
