Wow, my mistake....I thought component and composite were the same thing, but now I've done my research. smile.gif The TV has 3 inputs;

1)composite(which I use for my n64 and it works fine)
2)composite with s-video (which I use for my divx dvd player and that also works fine)
3)but now I realize the TV does have 1 component input that I could for a media box

Can anyone recommend a good one that will work over component or is the WDTV my best option? Also, in terms of quality, it goes composite, s-video, component, and then HDMI correct? If so, that works out because I'd be using the media box the most, then the dvd player, then the n64...

Small update;

1) Thanks for all the help guys, I eventually went with the WDTV (locally used for $60) and I learned a ton about TVs/cables in the process
2) Right now it is connected through composite because that's the only cable it came with (3 to 1) but I ordered the WDTV specific component cable that I will be running video through at least (audio will still have to be composite)

Hope I am not mixing up the names of the 2 of them and although I am not too too picky on quality, I definitely can tell the difference between movies played on my DVD player (svideo) and movies currently played on the WDTV.

I ran all the updates and it is a powerful little machine, (WDTV Live specifically) nothing I've thrown yet at it hasn't played...Wish it had the wireless feature which I would use occasionally, but other than that, no complaints biggrin.gif
