The GPU's are only averaging the high 50's (56-58).... I'm guessing that number should be wayyyyyyyyyy higher

In game or in the heaven benchmark?

Oh Sorry. That was while playing BF3

Was that at ULTRA everything?

Multi-player?

If not, hop onto a 64-man game and really get at it to see where the cards are at. Explosions. Zoom Optics as a chopper gunner. Just get a basic average.

Run Heaven also and watch the gpu usage closely.

By overclocking that i7 you can certainly get that number up some. And there are such things as safe overclocks. Such as only going as far as stock voltages allow--maybe just a hair over; staying well below the Intel Max Voltage limit; and staying well below the Intel Max Temperature Limit.

Yes it's Multi-Player and those GPU numbers are lower (right at 40% usage).
And that's in a mix of everything from Sniping on 12x optics, Armored Vehicle's and even flying the Viper. I was very surprised by that low percentage GPU usage.

I re-ran the Benchmark like you suggested and the highest temp was 64c and the highest GPU usage was 94% (averaging around 88%)

I really don't feel like repeating myself.... BTW it's not your CPU, and you sure as hell don't need a 2600k @5ghz doh.gif

This is all related to 6990 in CFX, and drivers being the culprit.

Thanks for that link.... I've been having my BF3 game crash every single time I play it. It happens at no particular time interval... sometimes 5 minutes into the game, while other times an hour.

Anyway.....here is where I'm at now:
CPU Ratio = 21
Speed Stepping = Disabled
Bclk = 191
Dram Frequency = Auto
CPU Voltage = Auto
CPU PLL Voltage = 1.88
QPI/Dram Core Voltage = 1.35
ioh and ich = 1.20
Dram Bus Voltage = 1.66

While running Heaven, GPU = 66 C and the max. usage was 95%. The CPU (when I closed Heaven and looked at the Core Temp it was at 132 F
