The $200-250 mark is plenty to get a decent setup.

would the Spire, Corsair, or Thermaltake be best for my external system??

or any others that are around the same price of ~150? Im in the us, btw..

the thermaltake would look nice with my black case, but its not like i look at my computer alot...

-edit-

I used that res' I cut it into the front of my Corsair Nautilus so I could see the flow...I like it it is made for high flow pumps and is really quiet...I can't give you a recommend on a stock Nautilus I modded it heavily before I ever tried it....Further down this page a guy gives his results with a stock one ..He had real good things to say about it. Sorry I can't recall his name now, you can find it easy..On the size of res's some guy's like to use big one's they say it cools better, other guys say it doesn't matter...You will have to make up your own mind about it..I'm taking my water cooling box apart again to change it over to 7/16 Tygon tubing with 1/2 fittings....That seems to be a happy balance of size and function, well to me at least, I'm pretty well noobish at this myself... I just use automotive spring clamps the kind you squeeze on the ears to open and some of the plastic sqeeze clamps that I got with stuff seem to both work fine..Hey that Nautilus review might be on page 2 here now...Snerp can help you out a lot with things......

I always vote no on premade kits unless it's a swiftech kit.

If I had some place I could do it I'd buy a ton of heatercores and sweat barbs on them for you guys at cost & my time...time to buy a home

"hey honey...we need to buy a house so I can build computer stuff for the guys" I could be wrong, but I don't think that will work very well

You don't even need a res, or you could make one.
