LE and LX are low tier Z68 boards. Personally I find that LX is an unnecessary product, and that LE is priced too high compared to ASRock Z68 Pro3 and Biostar TZ68A+.
So it is possible that they are using lower quality material on the board. As long as you install your component correctly, it should not have been a problem. Despite being a lower tier board it will have no problem taking your 2700K to 4.5 GHz. After that it depends on your CPU and your PSU (how clean is the +12 V).
