My manual voltage setting is set to 1.26, and coretemp is showing it at 1.4v now. I have no idea how it comes up with th at number but I dont put much stock in it.Evga eleet utility shows it more accurately.

Actually, I just went into my BIOS settings, and figured out that 1.35V was NOT the voltage setting I had. I was using 1.25V. If I go to 1.35V, I get blue screened during the startup(before I am asked to log in). And also, if I go to 190+ I get blue screened. So now, I am at 185 x 23 and am sitting around 4-4.2 MHz. For some reason, my temps haven't been as high as of now(4 minutes after overclocking). The highest I hit was 76C, but again, that is idle temperature.

You should idle around 40*c, and load around 75*c, so there is still something wrong. I think you should remount the CPU Cooler.

what were your pre-OC load and idle temps?

The only time i've ever seen temps like that on a non-laptop was my 3.8GHz Pentium D, and that had a warped IHS (which I lapped to fix).

My watercooled rig in a 95F room never hits 70C, even at 100% load.
