Trouble with Cross Fire

Thread Starter
So I just got my 2nd 6870 and popped it in, hooked the bridge up, and turned on my pc. I can get both GPU's to fold for me but I cannot get them both to game for me (as in pic in under GPU usage in afterburner window) headscratch.gif

I updated my drivers, but when I go into CCC I cannot enable cross fire. When I select "Enable AMD CrossFireX" and click apply, it goes back to "Disable AMD CrossFireX." Here is a pic just in case:

Any help is greatly appreciated!!! Thanks battery.gif

Do you play in fullscreen, Crossfire only goes into effect in full screen mode. Other than that try reinstalling you drivers, and make sure you have the latest CAP.

Completely remove drivers and then re-install with both cards installed as well. Worked for me when I first setup my crossfire.

Make sure the second card is running at a minimum PCIe x4 or it will be disabled and will not work for Crossfire. Use GPU-Z to check the PCIe lanes.

Otherwise, uninstall the Catalyst, select "express unisntall", restart PC then install Official Catalyst 11.12 + CAP (Catalyst Application Profile for crossfire scaling). Make sure the crossfire bridge mounted.
