Just got the Dell u2410 and not impress at all. Help!!

Thread Starter
So I just picked up the u2410 factor default setting I notice a pink tint like everyone is talking about. I was expecting this monitor to blow me away with vibrant colors but on abobe setting the picture looks better but doesn't seem to justified the price tag.

Any tips on calibration ? or shouild I just return it to dell?

does anyone know if i can get a full refund if the picture has a pink tint?

thanks

What Rev monitor did you get? I believe Rev 02 and above fixed the pink tint issue. Mine is Rev 05 and I have no pink tint or any tint for that matter..

Meh, mine does the same thing. I use Custom color mode anyway and it doesn't happen in that mode. It doesn't happen in any of the two RGB modes either (but those two have the dithering issue). If using the Custom color mode is a workaround, it's a great monitor if you can get past the AG coating (which is why the colors aren't impressing you as much so far as vibrancy goes) and the less than perfect response.

I'm surprised Dell is still shipping ones out that could have that issue.

If you're expecting "vibrant" colors like on the LED tv's at Best Buy set to Torch mode, then you're never going to be happy with this monitor.

That was my thought too. Some people expect the wrong things from it so far as color goes, but I do admit that the AG coating is a "feature" that still hurts it in this category. I wouldn't mind it being lessened or perhaps even gone (I can't say for sure since I've never seen it without it).

To me the 2412M looks better than the 2410. Saw both side by side and decided to get the LED backlit displays.
