Opinions on Mobo + CPU + RAM Combination

Thread Starter
Hey everyone, I am looking to update my current rig and have found the following on sale during Boxing Day on Monday.
*Boxing Day = Garbage Canadian version of Black Friday.

Will this combination of items work, and do you think it's good/worth it?
Big improvement over current rig?

Not 2500K. So no overclocking there. I suppose either motherboard combination is priced nicely.

I'm looking to get info seeing if the k variant is available as it's what I want.
I want to go to around 4.2ish.

Which mobo is better in your eyes?

Which mobo is better in your eyes?

One is for AMD AM3+, while other is for Intel LGA1155. Which one do you want? Intel? AMD?

So 1155a?

Z68X-UD3H-B3 then.

If you don't want to overclock, you can pick up an i5-2400, i5-2500, or Xeon E3-1235 (cheaper i7 performance, need to make sure you can return it in the event that the board does not support Xeon).

If you want to overclock pick up either i5-2500K or i7-2600K.

What will you be doing on this new PC?
