Ok.... Get a E6400, and a X1900XT, maybe X1950XTX. and also a beefier PSU, such as the OCZ GameXStream 700w. And get a X-Fi xtreme

The mobo you have seems good. I have not used it, but I have heard a lot of people saying the Gigabyte DS3 boards are great. Also, stick with that CPU, dont go down to a E6400. The 6400 uses the Allendale core (NOT the Coreroe, as newegg incorrectly states), which only has 2 MB shared cache. The extra $100 for the 4 MB cache and higher muliplyer is well worth it.

If you plan on doing much gaming, you should really upgrade the video card, as a 7600 GT is not an amazing card. As for the monitor, I can recomend the Hanns-G HW191D. Its a great monitor, and you cant beet the price!

yea.. the reason for the OK gfx card is because I want to upgrade it when dx10 comes around.. Also can someone post links of good cd dvd burners and the right amount of wires needed for me to hook this sucker up!

It's roughly $1.9 to £1 and seeing as the US doesn't have VAT you can knock even ore off the price aswell. www.newegg.com is cheaper than any UK supplier (Scan, OcUK, eBuyer, and Dabs) for many items.

Ebay is always touch and go as you aren't legally covered by a warranty unless the seller provides the original receipt.

I'll elaborate on this;
What he's refering to is the fact that many of OCZ's DIMMs require a higher voltage than many motherboards allow for in their BIOS even when running at stock speeds. Asus is one brand of board that has had compatibility issues with OCZ RAM.

You could always opt for some Corsair XMS2 PC6400 (800MHz) instead to avoid compatibility problems.

Videocard: It's very wise of you not to spend too much on a graphics card now seeing as DX10 cards are starting to get closer to release. I wish I could find somewhere in the UK that offered brand new 7600GT's for less than £70.

CPU: I'll be upgradeing to this CPU myself within the next two or three days, as soon as my Uni grants go in. You should easily be able to raise the FSB from 266 to 400 (3.6GHz) with the motherboard you selected and lower the DDR2 speed from 800 to 667. That way your CPU will be overclocked without even stressing your memory.

Motherboard; Another good choice, most people seem to go for the Asus P5B Deluxe or P5W DH Deluxe though I've heard that the GigaByte DS3 is a good overclocker too.

Case: A case is a case is a case. If bling is your bag you wont find much better than Thermaltake.

CPU HSF: For the slight difference in temperature you might as well save a few $ and get the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7, as already suggested.

HDD Cooler; All that thing will do is draft warm air around you HDD's, just mount a normal intake fan on the inside of your case instead.

Keyboard: I would just get a cheap standard keyboard and put any money saved to replaceing the X-Fi Platinum with a Fatal1ty as the Platinum doesn't have the X-RAM.

Soundcard; If you're after the version with X-RAM you'll have to pay a little more. Perhaps if you take my advice and avoid the HDD Cooler, Big Typhoon and get a standard keyboard you could get the Fatal1ty.

PSU;I've heard good things about OCZ's PSU's but have never owned one myself. I always use Tagen.

yea, thats my tought too..i didnt have time to put names and links

take advice and dont buy all those gadgets, save money on them and buy better video card and processor

and yeah.. get rid of the ocz

edit; seen your upgrades:
the case is changed.. good choice again
the cpu.. the 6600 is very good
memory..i have it and love it ( voltage for it is 1.9v or higher)
and yes..get the fatality sound card..
