Single Side / Double Side PC3200 RAM?

Hey guys I was just reading my Mobo manual because I wanted to check if I was using right configuration because I was not sure if my ram is even Dual Channel. I came across a chart that reffers to Single Side and Double Side RAM.

What is this?

My RAM is a OCz 1GB (512MB x2) PC3200.

Ram that has chips on both sides of the PCB is double sided and single sided is well... You get the idea.

Dual channel does not mean dual sided. Dual channel is running two of the exactly same sticks of ram at the same time. Since they are comprable speeds they run faster together

Oh i get it. So pretty much only lesser amounts of ram, like 256 will use something like 32*8, which only requires one side.

Yes, your RAM should be identical and in the yellow slots on your motherboard.

I was reading on the internet that even if it has modules on both sides, it can still be "Single Side" RAM, might be false but owell, upgrading to a motherboard soon that supports the Dual Channel for my RAM

Thanks
