Anybody Running an FX 6100 or 8120 on Windows 8 Developer Preview ?

I've 'Searched' and there isn't much attention at all to running an FX chip on Windows 8 Developer Preview. With it's newer instruction set and supposed advantages for FX I'm surprised no one is trying it.
Anyway I'm running a 1055T on Win 8 without problems and was half tempted to get an FX 6100 and give it a whirl and please I'm well aware of all the Phenom, FX Comparisons so forget about that and tell me if your using a Win 8 / FX combo.

I had a feeling my thread would yield little interest and thats OK because it accurately reflects the overall interest in bulldozer. Just for kicks I'm gonna edit it to say 'Anybody Running an i5 2500K or 2600K on Windows 8 Developer Preview' and post it on the Intel CPU side and watch the action there!

I would imagine not many people are even on ocn due to the holidays but if you search through the FX owners thread there are people running W8 there. If I was you, I would get the fx 6200 over the 6100 it is suppose to be out tomorrow... Also intel is 90% of the market and FX has only been out for 2.5 months. There are plenty of people interested and Bulldozer is talke2d about all the time here. Granted it is not all good but still... There is a site that did some tests a month or so ago with w8 and fx chips. The results mostly showed 10% gains up to 20% in some things. It is not yet complete and I do believe it will get even better.

The Fx-6200 is supposed to go on sale as of now but def. expect it to be out within the next few days. Check it's stats out compared to the 6100. Seems like a decent upgrade even if it is just clock speed. Who knows maybe it will overclock higher?

Just to name a few... tongue.gif

Hardware heaven ran some benchmarks on FX 6100/Radeon 7750 comparing windows 7 & windows 8 developer performance.

PCMARK 7 show nice improvements. smile.gif

Review is using drivers from AMD Catalyst February 2012 release, not sure how that affects the gaming performance numbers ?
