Windows experience index rating my integretated graphics card

Thread Starter
I built my first computer and my parts were i5 2500k and XFX radeon hd 6870.
i checked the windows experience index and it said graphics: 4.7 and gaming graphics: 6.2
I then looked at the "view and print detailed performance and system information" and it said my Graphics - Display adapter type was "Intel(R) HD Graphics Family" I installed my 6870 and it's all set but i don't know why it still rates my integrated intel 3000. Should I disable the intel integreated graphics 3000 on the device manager?

thanks

Stop wasting your time with WEI. Its a very poor index with no relationship to anything meaningful.

the best benchmarks are the apps you will be using. If you must use benchmarks then at least use something a bit more credible, like PCmark 7, Heaven 2.5 or one of the inbuilt gaming benchmarks. They will not get confused between your primary graphics adaptor and the inboard integrated graphics.
