I've got an EVGA GTX 460 running @ 1.000v 840/1680/1950 and I haven't crashed once yet. I'm trying to determine what's my highest in that voltage ballpark, but I don't know how long I should keep Kombustor running. [LOL Right at this point the system crashed, and I'm guessing it was because I was running Kombustor. Maybe that's telling me it should be longer than 2 minutes, lol!] Well now since it crashed...I bumped it up to 1.025 voltage and 830/1660/2000...how long is good enough in you guys' opinion? The temps don't go above 62-64C as I bought an 3rd party VGA cooler.

Run the benchmark, then i usually run for like 5 min. If it doesn't crash then its usually game ready.

I'd say 15-20 minutes is usually good. Also run some benchmarks like Unigine Heaven with max settings/all settings enabled and highest resolution possible a few times regardless of the frame rates your getting.
You can also run OCCT, click on GPU, and run that at full screen resolution, with shader "3" and "error checking" enabled. If it's going to fail, it'll usually happen before 15 minutes.

No matter how long you run it for, it doesn't mean a game will be stable. BF3 can crash that card right up!
Make sure you test in games, more so than Kombuster, Furmark, etc.

Ageed, my 6970 will pass stress tests no problem at much higher clock speeds, but once in BF3 it always locks up and I have to reset to stock OC.

try clocking the ram at just 1400, and put the core up high.
im running my cards at 1ghz and 1400mhz mem, on 1.3v (1.3 required for the 6990), And i have no problems at all.
For the furmark, yeha i ususaly run furmark to check if the temps are okey, after that i do some unigine heaven combined with Prime95 to test system load for 10-20 minutes, after that some gaming.
