I installed in raid mode but my drives aren't raided, can I switch to AHCI without doing anything fancy right?

I recall Sean suggesting that if doing a clean install of Windows on a pair of SSDs in RAID0, its best to wipe the SSDs first, using Parted Magic for example. Would that also be wise if restoring a disk (all partitions, using Disk Mode) using Acronis True Image? Or unnecessary effort?

Thanks,

I installed Windows 7 to mine right out of the box in RAID 0. Of course, I have some sort of issue but I cant imagine how that would help (though I've seen stranger things).
