Thanks for your feedback, there is definitely a problem between my ASUS board and this drive/drivers I think, when I try and use the PC the HDD light stays solid for a few seconds and the PC seems to lag all the time and although I understand your point 12MB/s req read is abnormal.

Just put the SSD into another PC, only about a month old and here are the results.

AMD Athlon(tm) X4 750K Quad Core Processor
Gigabyte F2A85X-UP4
Northbridge AMD A55/A60M FCH rev. 00
Southbridge AMD A55/A60M rev. 11
BIOS version F2 08/31/2012
Windows 8 x64

Works out of the box no problems on Windows.

Then the problem lies with your motherboard most likely. I would recommend RMA if possible.

Any encryption or file compression enabled?

Not sure to be honest, whatever is enabled when you do a clean install of windows.

I can't see how it can be a problem with the board, although I'd like it to be so I can swap it, as I said the board/ssd works fine on Linux.

My hunch is that it must be a problem with the Drivers/Chipset and Windows on that specific board with that specific HHD firmware?

I am going to take a GT3 home tonight and test again.

It is most likely a driver issue. I've seen similar with Intel drivers sometimes.

Did you install the newest driver? Try another SATA driver.
I have tried the standard MS ones (storageahci) and the AMD ones (amd_sata) and both work similar, maybe one a bit faster by a MB or so.

So frustrating that Ubuntu works fine - I think my only option is Asus support unless anyone can suggest other drivers?

do to device manager > disk drives > right click your drive and click uninstall > accept the prompt to restart > restart > once booted it may re-prompt you to restart, if so do it > then post a screenshot of AS SSD.

Edit: Have you changed your SATA cable or SATA port yet? I just saw your CRC error rate is ridiculous.

Morning guys.. I would like to join in as I just picked up a Samsung 840 Pro 256GB, coming over from a Kingston HyperX that kept BSOD on me all the time. I can say that I am glad to finally have a "real" SSD, and can say I feel the speed of this Samsung over the Kingston quite a bit.

How am I lookin?
