Pffft, that is good, though not as good as the M3 Pro or Performance Pro, it is still far better than the M4.

Like I said it is a similar trend with all SSDs, SandForce is usually worse. And yes, the smaller the drive the quicker it will happen.

If you do lots of HD video editing I'd suggest an enterprise SSD or a RAID array with HDDs then a simple consumer SSD anyways.

Hmmm, ok. So basically M4, M3S, and Smasung 830 all exhibit the same exact problem?

I wouldn't really cal lit a problem, it is just the nature of consumer grade SSDs. Enterprise SSDs do the same, but to a lesser extent.

Can a Samsung PM830 solve this problem?
Ok, the hardware is the same, but the firmware is different.

The PM830 is just a OEM version of the same drive. Something like better firmware programing and storage material/design would fix the "issue."

Just to piggy back on this, don't think the firmwares will be the same (I.e won't be able to use the consumer drivers on OEM hardware).

It's more of a reminder, if your already booting that way your fine smile.gif.

The thing about samsung's software, is it doesn't always make complete logical sense due to the translations.

If your BIOS says AHCI, that's all you need to know smile.gif.
