I am happy with the results honestly. I ended up selling the Plextor at almost the same price I paid for it which was around 152.99 and bought the Samsung 830 at 90 :)

Hmmm, so the Sammy is faster in Seq writes than the Plextor?

Plextor M3:

Max Sequential Read: 510

Max Sequential Write: 210

SamSung 830:

So how come the Plextor M3 is considered, usually, faster than the Samsung 830?

I thought you understood why SSDs are fast and seen benchmarks. It is not about max sequential speeds, but steady state performance, workload, and random 4k speeds.

It is automatically.

That's what I thought so. I was just asking about the sequential speeds, that's all. What do you mean by workload with SSDs?
