[Official] Samsung SSD750/830/840/850 Owners Club - Page 59

Performance is something I don't even look at anymore. Performance with SSDs can only be measured in benchmarks and unless you are very anal, you will not see any difference between SSDs. The only thing I look for in SSDs now is reliability. Intel and Samsung are both the most reliable SSD producers. Just go for the cheapest option for your desired size. I bought the Samsung 830 128GB for $100 and it's worth every penny. I connected my brother's Crucial and looked at the boot times and program boot times, it was practically the same. I couldn't tell the difference.

Cheapest option and reliability > Performance only

Intel & Samsung > OCZ, this is my logic. Many would disagree.

Ok thanks. i will just order the Samsung cause it's a difference of 20$ or so from the Crucial and better performance, i just i won't have to worry about warranty and i'll get DOA or just dead after 1 day or dead cause of failed firmware update. so many thing xD

If something goes wrong with your drive, Samsung will most likely replace it through RMA. I highly recommend you follow Sean's guides regarding Windows Installation and other things like that because it is extensive and thorough. I follow it every time with ease and always come out finishing everything quickly and assured that I didn't miss anything during setup.

USPS Priority Mail International. I always use that. With FedEx or UPS, you are subject to brokerage and customs fees. With USPS, normally, you do not pay for either. Good luck and this probably isn't the place, but massive respect for Israel. smile.gif

Double Thanks xD

and cool i ordered using the USPS and i read that as you said it might not include more pricing to the overall price when it arrives. I really hope not ! :B

I always get tricked into paying more using FedEx or UPS, it always bothers me so much. I bought some random things for my xbox and PC and used UPS and I paid nearly double because of the fees.

Do i get SATA III cable with the Samsung ? or should i use SATA II now and even after i get a new motherboard SATA III ?
SATA3 and SATA2 cables are exactly the same. You shouldn't have a problem using SATA 2 cables.
