The 840 Pro has been getting much better user reviews than the 840. The Pro also has a longer warranty that more than makes up for the added cost.

They just had a sale on 4/23. The non- Pro 120GB was $79 and the Pro 128GB was $115.99 shipped. I don't know how low it has been in the past, but $115.99 shipped seemed good enough for me to upgrade from my 64GB 830.

Both New Egg and Micro Center are selling them for $139. Their price fluctuates between that and $149.

If anyone is looking to add to their collection of Samsung SSDs, my 512GB 830 is for sale. the listing is in my sig.
Personally i would love to keep it, but i lost my job 2 months ago and have been unable to find work since, and i have rent to pay, so it needs to go.
