Thread Starter
so i wanted to get myself a new sound card and a nice pair of Sennheiser PC360s, but when inspecting my motherboard i found out the only pci-express slot is blocked by my video card so i wanted to ask about the sound quality on this motherboard:

gigabyte z68x-ud2h-b3

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128503

it does have 7.1 support but i dont know much about its quality...
im really bummed since i wanted to finally have some decent gaming audio for mw3 /skyrim /bf3...

Maybe a usb sound card, but i am under the impression that those suck ass (correct me if im wrong)

Thanks in advance and sorry for crappy english.

^^this. 99% of the time, If the PCI-E card fits, even if it has most of the slot empty, it will work regardless.

It'll work fine in the x16 slots.

Also, the highest quality DACs (technical term for a sound card) are USB. They can range for quite crappy (like you are under the impression of) to absolutely phenomenal.
