AMD X2 3800+ Idle Temps @ 40*C and Load @ 62*C - Page 3

i've already got my multi to 3x. its been there since i hit 250FSB. i'm running a 166Mhz divider. my memory sits at 233Mhz. but as soon as i make 1 increase on the FSB i cut down to a 150Mhz divider. runs just above stock. i'll try command rate change tomorrow.

Guys -

So I did a reseat, used hardly any AS and I still get up to 50*C load when playing games. Why is this thing burning up? It will Idle at 35*. I've never seen anything like this. I'll have to try another reseat. Any suggestions? I have no clue why it's doing this.

Thanks,

Ketiko

What is your room temp? That's probably all that's wrong here. Mine does about 38C idle and 46C load but I have a cold room. Those temps seem pretty spot on if you just have a warmer room than me.

no lapping here, just 1/2 inch tubing.

CPU temps
30-32 idle
41-43 load

GPU temps
31-33 idle
44-49 load

What temp program and fan speed program are you using. How is the fan speed set up in the bios.

I use Asus probe along with an external temp/fan controller. I check my VGA temps with Ati CCC
