Wireless headphones for PS3/TV

Thread Starter
OK, since the Sales have pretty much started I'm after some wireless headphones.

Ideally, i'd like them to be able to use with the TV and PS3 wirelessly without having to faff with wires. (Perhaps even the computer too if you can get multiple transmitters) Also, they'd need to come with a charging station etc.

Its not a big problem if they don't have a Mic with them, however its a plus. I've got a BT Headset and rarely use it, plus it'd probably bump up the cost.

Anyone know what a solution would be?

I know these work on the PS3/PC but i am not so sure about the television. As far as obtaining a wireless signal from your television, how would you go about doing this? It has to be different on television to television depending on the TV's features and etc. How is audio handled currently on your TV.

Are we looking for wireless USB
Wireless 3.5mm
Wireless Bluetooth
Which option are open to you.

Thinking about it, it would really only need to come from the TV as the PS3 outputs via the TV anyway.

Ideally I was just after a headphone jack out to a wireless transmitter

This is not a very common methodology for wireless headphones, however transmission via RF (eg 3.5mm headphone jack) is done on all of Sennheiser RS series of headphones. However, I have never tested any of these headphones, so i can't be sure the level of quality. But if i had to make an assumption i would assume these are better than your typical generic RF wireless headphones. You may want to include a price range for other posters.

Don't quote me on this, but i would imagine headphones are most likely hooked up via a line out on a home theater receiver. Wireless headphones are not typical on televisions most of the demand is in home theater speakers and all that jazz.. This is not to say that hooking wireless headphones to your television is not possible, and should not be done, it's just not the most common of things. I do see how it could be nice. I suggest you have a look at those Sennheisers i mentioned.
