Why do gamers put 16 GB of RAM in their systems? - Page 15

I have 4GB of RAM and I can play and run any game right now, without a problem. I plan getting another set of 4GB of RAM. To me, 16GB is too much for what I use a computer for.

6gb is cutting it close. When I am playing a game I usually have email, browser, antivirus, system monitor, after-burner, plus keyboard and mouse software. This can easily hit 5gb when playing a big game.

If you ONLY game and have nothing else running then yeah 6gb is enough for THE GAME.

8gb would be perfect but if you are using triple channel, the choice is 6b or 12 gb.

While I even think 24gb is overkill because you dont like the color of your ram slots... It really seems people get offended that some people have extra money to spend and dont mind doing it.

If he wants to buy 48gb of ram and tape 6 sticks to his case fans, let him. Its not your money he is spending.

Its hard to bag on people who make more then enough money to be happy and spend it, when the only people who complain are those who are too lazy and just jelouse they cant do the same. Im neither rich or poor, but i make dumb and smart choices all the time, in the end if im happy I could care less what people online think.
