Please explain, this argument makes no sense. Use 16GB of RAM for what? Virtualization? Maybe. Servers? Some. 3D Rendering? Maybe. Gaming and normal use of apps? No. You could run League of Legends, 2 World of Warcraft sessions, a Starcraft 2, have 5 internet browsers open, and be running a defrag at the same time and be fine on 8GB of RAM.
Why would you be a moron for building a gaming rig solely for gaming? I see nothing wrong with it, in fact, most people on this site have done so. People make gaming rigs so they can get better performance in gaming than what a console provides.Edited by whitingnick - 2/12/12 at 8:34am
