Asus P5B deluxe VS Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6

Thread Starter
Ok the intel purchase plan is almost here and I have all my chips, I doubt the intel board is going to overclock well so I've decided on one of these 2 boards in the title. The gigabyte seems to overclock better, but there is one small problem I noticed while reading reviews. The GA-965P-DQ6 has a metal plate underneath the socket and I've heard its not easily removable (or almost impossible from what I've read) so this means I wouldn't be able to use my zalman fan with it. Does anyone have the GA-965P-DQ6, and if so were you able to remove the plate without damaging the board?

Both overclock very well. The DQ6 is hard to remove the plate with. Asus P5B Deluxe is the way to go.

I heard Gigabyte uses fake 6 phases power changing on their board, but thats just rumor
