Two identical SSD's in AHCI mode?

Thread Starter
I'm running 1 SSD now in my computer with Windows 7 and it's 120GB big. Exact specification is OCZSSD3-2VTX120G. I run my hardware in AHCI mode (don't see RAID mode in BIOS while searching through SATA-Mobo settings), but my question is, if I buy a second OCZSSD3-2VTX120G, will I be able to use it next to my primary Windows partioned SSD?

Thanks my fellow OC.net users.

Yes. You just throw in the new SSD and it will work just fine with the settings you already are using.

In case you are talking about RAID 0 or 1 the two together, the same rules apply as HDD.

You should be fine running a second drive in AHCI mode. Unless you run the software raid built into windows 7 the drive management system will see it as a separate drive which you can follow many guides under the SSD link on how to setup and format.

Of course. It would be like running a 2nd HDD.... no difference to the OS.
Once again...
