Up until an hour ago or so I had a bunch of other cases on the list, including the Storm Trooper, probably that's why biggrin.gif

The Storm Scout looks nice but is there anything elevating it above the two cases I am currently looking at? Price is almost the same for all 3.

Thanks.

I actually added the Fractal Design Define R3 back to the list.

Reading a lot of forums and reviews is not really making things easier because of all the contradiction you encounter...I read several times now that a lot of reviewers value the R3 higher than the Arc, yet a lot of people told me the Arc is pretty much the best midi tower available for that price range... halp!

Yeah, be honestly, I never have heard of Fractal Design products in million years till somehow *Fractal Design* thread caught my attention. I check Fractal Design site, all cases are very quality, elegant, and design is so beautiful.. many customers are satisfying with their Fractal Design cases.. they are better than CoolerMaster cases, *IMO*.. they are complete with hi-ended product Slivestone, others, you named it.

So you can't go wrong with various Fractal Design cases. thumb.gif

So Good luck with Fractal Design case.

What do you want of the case? The arc cases are a lot better all rounders than the R3 is as it's pretty much designed for silent operation whereas the arc series is more forused on airflow (and watercooling).

HERE is a thorough review of the Arc Midi by TTL.
HERE is R3 vs. H2 by TTL. (It's a review-ish video)

No experiences on the K63, but it sure is a fugly case imho. But hey, I don't like most of the Lian Li cases anyways because they have bare metal interior which I really dislike. Just a few LL cases that please my eyes but then again, those cases have other faults which would mean cutting a $200 case straight from the box.

thanks for the links, I actually watched both reviews already though biggrin.gif
(and probably all other available reviews for those cases haha)

I really just want the "best" Midi Tower case available, the best overall package. I value quiet operation and good build quality but obviously I also want a safe place to put my hardware and not an oven.
I want to have enough room to maybe later upgrade to a liquid cooling solution and a sturdy case that holds up for a while.

I realize my current picks are all very close to each other. For that matter, I am adding the Corsair 500r back too tongue.gif

All of the cases you have on your list have good build quality and cable management, and practically any case can be made silent with the right choice of hardware and a few tricks like dampening HDD noise and putting foam on the panels etc. But as I've said before, I believe that the Arc basically has it all. It's filtered, has good looks, amazing cable management and cooler compatibility due to the extra width, it offers huge space compared to its physical size, supports multitude of fans (120, 140, 180mm), can house loads of rads (280 front, 120 bottom, up to 360 (or maybe 420) top) and yes, it can be made silent. Also offers loads of options for modders. Honestly, if you're going to get wc gear the arc is the way to go out of those cases as (as far as I'm aware of) it's the only case on your list that supports a thick 240 rad with absolutely no modding needed. The R3 ain't a watercoolers case and the 500r can't fit a rad to the top IIRC. And again, dunno about the K63 as today is the first time I've seen it.

I think you should really get an opinion from someone else too before I actually shove the Arc down your throat biggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gif Sorry, it's just love wubsmiley.gif
