Woke up to find...

So a few weeks back I had to RMA my SteelSeries Xai due to the scroll wheel failing on me. Now, I loved the mouse itself. Felt great in my hand, worked phenomenally in games and I liked its nice and simply design (went very well with my setup). I woke up this morning to take the dog out and see a FedEx box on the doorstep (first off at 730a...thats the earliest I've seen them deliver!). So I think to myself, "Woohoo! Got my Xai back!". Open the box up and it's a Sensei. Now, I'm not complaining. I was even considering buying one for my main rig and using the Xai as a backup with my Lanbox. But I simply couldn't justify it when I got two other mice that work just fine as backups.

So, first impressions are: Seems to work just the same, but has a nifty "metal" top with lights and is visually customizable. It seems a little heavier too, but overall seems to be just the same quality as the Xai. Actually, the build quality seems to be a tad better as well! One nice thing I like is being able to customize the LED speed indicator...nifty!

Nice result! I found the Sensei to track decent on cloth too which the Xai didnt.

I started using a 9HD a while back when I first got my Xai to pair it up with. Don't have any cloth mouse pads to try it out with, but I don't see myself using a cloth mouse pad ever again. I love the hard pads now. My Xai glided very nicely and smooth on the hard surface and so does the Sensei. I'm loving this thing more and more! Even made up my own little bitmap to upload to it to personalize it even more! lol Might be kinda small, but looks awesome on the LCD screen under the mouse!
