i will never own another gigabyte anything as long as i live. now on the other hand, asus makes some damn good boards. but their customer support is by far the worst i have ever experienced.

OT: Sadly! What Gigabyte is doing??? These is a enthusiast socket, people who are willing to spend big money. And these customers now have a recall. Besides of that, I am glad that ASUS would be my weapon of choice. I think gigabyte somehow loses the crown.

This is going to put a dent in Gigabyte's sales. It seems that this issue with VRM's blowing should have been caught in the testing of the first batch of these boards. I wonder if there the engineers working on these boards are the same ones that worked on the other recent boards they came out with?

Seems like Asus has really been the one, steady, quality mobo manufacturer as of late. Never had issues with them on X58, and my P9X79 Pro is humming along great. Such a shame for Gigabyte though, they were up there in terms of reliability and quality.

Asus gets to solidify its spot even more as the king of mobo manufacturers now..
