Oh, and I love this build. Already missing my waterbox (but not the having to physically take it apart every time I wanted to mess with it)

yes i cut a hole in the side panel so i could turn around the PSU, i did not like the idea of the PSU dumping air inot my HDD since the Radiator will be doing it from the other side anyway

also once the green tubing is in with a Blue UV kink coil the Blue LED in the CPU block will make a lot more sense, right now all you guys are seeing is green because of all the parts, but the sleeving and all the accesories that are still going to go into this build will tie in all the Blue elements.

Got it. So you are going to a blueish green/teal color overall? I figured something that, it just looks out of place at the moment.

yes its not really teal but light blue, the flash makes it look weird, but its my girls favorite colors so thats what I'm trying to pull off, in a couple of days hopefully you will be able to see where I'm going with it, i really want to get a water block for the 560 but i can't find any with plexi, so i might end up putting the gtx590 that i have with the EK Plexy/nikel block and have blue coolant going through it

but i don't know how the green tubing will look with blue coolant going through it
what do you think????

Lol what do you mean knock off, Danger Dan helped me work on this, they showed me how to do the screws and nuts holes, the dimensions are identical, i just changed some things around.

you know before the torture rack 2, the small one, was released to the public, it was originally designed was us to use in our labs(nvidia) 2 years before Danger Den released it to the public

I think I see where you are going with it. I wonder if you could get a hold of a manufacture and request a clear top? I bet they would try to charge an arm and leg but it shouldn't be hard to run a block of plexi through their mill instead of the normal stuff.

i have spoken with EK about it, they told me they do not make custom orders, which really made me mad, becase i have over 15 of their blocks, i even told them im willing to pay extra

i think im just going with gtx590, i think it will work out better for my girl anyway since i might want to do tripple monitor set up for her anyway, just like mine

That's a shame to hear. You would think a major company like them would be willing to do some custom orders to some degree. Anyway three screens is the way to go, don't think I could go back to one after getting use to three.

so more sleeving going to happen but im kind of at a stand still until i get more heatshrink from MDPC and so hard since they only open for about 15 minutes at a time, so frustrating

anyway i took apart the PSU so here are some shots, i have to say its very well built, my problem is that it has 2 8pin plugs for the mobo, i know i will never have to use them so i will be cutting one out, i still lableed it all in case i need to put it back together,

also i have noticed that this PSU has two sets of cables that go into one pin, not a big deal at all, im just going to sleeve two cables in one sleeve, since the secondary cable is so tiny.

also love that the fan comes with its own bracket that then mounts into the actual PSU housing, makes the it very easy to remove and just more sturdy in my opion

here are some shots of the PSU and my work:

Lookin good. When I cut any thing out of the psu, I mark mine the same way, but I also heatshrink the exposed ends individually as I am a bit paranoid of a short.
