not for the price though, you can get a X1900XTX and overclock it to have the same performance for $100 less. It is stated in many reviews that the X1950XTX beats the X1900XTX by a merely 5-10%

The difference btwn the x1950xtx and 7950GX2 isn't that noticible at lower resolutions (more processing power is required for the GX2), but the GX2 gives a slight advantage at insane resolutions.

cheers! - i didnt know that - im gunna do that right now!

I'd stick with nvidia in the long run, but that's me. I have 2 pci card's of nvidia's for my 3 monitor rig, and I crank'd up the digital vibrance, and it looks fan f*ing tastic.

However, i've also seen the image quality on my friends x800xt 512mb card from sapphire radeon, (he has a pentium D 820) and I mean dude.... That's just slightly better in colour detail etc.

What I suggest is, if you have 20/20 vision, get the radeon range of cards, Otherwise if you have glasses, or contacts (not being rude intentionally) then stick with nvidia, you probably won't notice a difference.

With Respects,

Le_Loup

Id go for the X1950XTX. Uses less power, cheaper and only about 5-10% slower than the GX2. Plus the X1950 has better image quality and can do FP16 HDR and AA at the same time.

I've also heard and seen evidence that the radeon series of card's "heatsink/fan's" are noisier then the nvidia counterparts overall.
