GTX 470 - 1360x768 Gaming + Seperate 1280x720 monitor for TS3 etc?

Hello.

I'm running an OC'd GTX 470, It handles BF3 fine at Ultra/High with 2x MSAA, but I wish to add my old 19" Dell office-type monitor for browsing whilst loading, Seeing who's speaking in TS3/Joined etc, but does it give the GTX 470 too much strain since I'm only running one card? I occasionally get kernal crashes, something to do with added workload, and It mentioned a registry tweak to allow the card to process more information per second, which I don't know if it means anything so I thought I'd note it.


Tl;DR - Can i run a second monitor in addition to the one I'm gaming on for doing non-game related things on with a single OC'd GTX 470?

Second monitor will probably cost you 3-4% of your total performance.

Well, a "Maybe" is better than a "No" wink.gif

All it has to display is the Desktop, with either Google Chrome/TS3 on it, So I wouldn't have thought it'd be too taxing, as it'll be more down to the RAM + the CPU which are both perfectly adequate
